The Friedrich Naumann Foundation and the IEMed present in Barcelona the report “Climate change and migration. Understanding factors, developing opportunities in the Sahel Zone, West Africa and the Maghreb“.

Climate variations in the regions, climate change as a source of human displacements and as a risk multiplier in human displacement in West Africa, Maghreb and the Sahel region, are the central themes addressed by this joint publication that explores new perspectives on one of the main drivers on migration flows for the upcoming decades in the region.

During the presentation, there will be a debate with experts in the field on how to tap into the great potential that the Euro-Mediterranean has to offer and how to yield valuable synergies in the area of adaptation strategies for climate change.

The event will begin at 5.30 pm with a cocktail. See full agenda.
