The Euro-Mediterranean Dialogue is conceived as a space for dialogue between 36 associations that are engaged in favour of women’s rights, with the support of European and Euro-Mediterranean policy makers, and other international stakeholders and organizations active in the field of gender equality in the Southern Mediterranean.

The objective of this regional dialogue is to strengthen the role of associations in the planning, implementation and monitoring of European and Euro-Mediterranean policies related to women’s rights and gender equality in the Southern Mediterranean.

This dialogue is part of the CSO WINS project “Capacity-Building in the Southern Mediterranean to Open Policy Dialogue and Monitoring for Women in Society” funded by the European Union. CSO WINS is coordinated by the European Institute of the Mediterranean, in synergy with the Euro-Mediterranean Women’s Foundation and in partnership with the Federation of the Women’s Rights Leagues, DJAZAIROUNA, the Center of Arab Women for Training and Research, the Forum Femmes Méditerranée, the Palestinian Businesswomen’s Association Asala and the Euro-Mediterranean Academic and Scientific Network on Women and Gender.

The event takes place in two stages: a first day and a half reserved for civil society (24-25 October), and one full day dedicated to the dialogue with the institutions (26 October).
