MedCat Days 2026
9 July 2026- 10 July 2026 | Conference | Catalan | English | French | Spanish | Recinte Modernista de Sant Pau, BarcelonaIn November 2025, the EU adopted the Pact for the Mediterranean to address key regional challenges and renew Euro-Mediterranean relations through a more practical, results-oriented and impactful framework for cooperation. Built on co-responsibility, co-design and shared ownership, the Pact aims to foster a more balanced partnership between the two shores and advance a pragmatic agenda focused on shared priorities such as energy, connectivity, economic resilience and territorial cooperation.
The Pact’s first Action Plan is already beginning to take shape. In this new phase, the main challenge is to move from setting priorities to implementing them effectively, translating them into concrete projects, shared initiatives and partnerships that create real impact at territorial level.
MedCat Days 2026 is consolidating its role as a key forum for Euro-Mediterranean dialogue and cooperation, helping to strengthen coordination and multilevel governance among institutions, regions and other stakeholders. By placing territorial authorities at the centre, the initiative promotes the joint design, implementation and monitoring of policies to ensure they deliver meaningful results. This approach contributes to a more inclusive Action Plan and a more cohesive, shared vision with a real impact on the Mediterranean.
The programme is structured in three parts over a day and a half.
