Educate in diversity, build citizenship
Duration: 2020-2021
Budget: €56.860
The project “Educate in diversity, build citizenship” is a pilot initiative between the national Anna Lindh Foundation networks of Belgium, Spain and Morocco, based on 3 pillars of our societies that create responsible and empathetic citizenship: youth, education and artistic creation.
The project will develop the knowledge and social, civic and intercultural skills of young people through interactive workshops that will lead to the development of artistic products. Artistic creation is an ideal means to express opinions and feelings, interact with others and forge ways of thinking, as well as a tool to work on the values of respect and inclusion. As UNESCO emphasizes, the mastery of culture and the arts is essential for the development of people. It is in these areas, as well as through family education, where skills can be acquired to build responsible and critical citizenship that supports cultural diversity as an asset to our societies.
The organisation of workshops in association with at least 3 members of the ALF will allow the exchange of good practices and will strengthen the national networks to which the Action is directed. In addition, the dissemination of the results of the project and the promotion of the exchange of good practices, as well as the transfer of knowledge and skills in the field of intercultural dialogue will raise awareness of the positive effects of intercultural dialogue to face certain social and cultural challenges.
