Military and political alliances, the main political dynamics in the Mediterranean, and how the war in Ukraine has marked the last 12 months in the Mediterranean region… are the focus of the debate hosted by the IEMed to present the IEMed Mediterranean Yearbook 2022.

The debate takes place on the occasion of the presentation of the IEMed Mediterranean Yearbook 2022, which with the collaboration of over 60 international experts analyses the reshuffling of political and military alliances, the scope of green and digital transitions, the future of politics or the fragmentations in the regional Mediterranean integration and the challenges to be overcome to improve well-being in the Mediterranean area.

It also offers an overview of the main trends in EU Mediterranean countries, Western Balkans, Maghreb, Middle East and Turkey, and other international actors in the Mediterranean, as well as in strategic sectors such as security, economy and territory, and culture and society.

Furthermore, the yearbook includes statistics, socioeconomic indicators, graphs, timelines, and maps.
