Breaking Barriers: the Feminist Transformation in the Mediterranean

Coinciding with International Women’s Day, the IEMed and Casa Mediterráneo are co-organising a debate on the occasion of the presentation of the latest issue of the magazine Quaderns de la Mediterrània in Alicante.
La jornada comptarà amb dos debats que, amb la participació d’acadèmiques i professionals del món associatiu i institucional, volen contribuir a reflexionar i donar a conèixer bones pràctiques que permetin avançar en la igualtat de gènere a la regió euromediterrània, tant a nivell legal com en la seva traducció a la realitat quotidiana.
The seminar will feature two debates with the participation of academics and professionals from the Civil Society and institutional representatives. This event wants to contribute to reflect on and disseminate good practices that allow progress in gender equality in the Euro-Mediterranean region, both at a legal level and in its translation to everyday reality.
Issue 34 of the magazine Quaderns de la Mediterrània, which will be offered to attendees, includes more than 25 collaborations and can be read online.
