The Catalonia Europe Foundation presents the publication of the Pasqual Maragall Legacy Research Aid 2019, “Barcelona, capital of the Mediterranean. Local democracy and fight for peace” by Oscar Monterde, doctor in history from University of Barcelona.

The event takes place at the Institute of Mediterranean Studies (IEMed) and includes the participation of the author of the book, Oscar Monterde, and a discussion with Antoni Segura, professor of contemporary history at UB; Anna Terron, director of FIIAPP and member of FCE board of trustees and moderated by Oriol Nel·lo, professor of geography at UAB and member of the FCE board of trustees. The event is welcomed by Senén Florensa, executive president of IEMed.

The act will be in person. To attend, prior registration is required.

Those who attend the event will receive the book “Barcelona, capital of the Mediterranean. Local democracy and combat for peace”, by Oscar Monterde.

The research aid “Legado Pasqual Maragall” is an initiative of the Catalonia Europe Foundation with the support of the Barcelona City Council and the Department of the Presidency of the Generalitat of Catalonia.
