Presentation at the UfM of the Euro-Mediterranean Women’s Foundation

At the international conference of the Union for the Mediterranean “Promoting the participation of women in economic life”, the Foundation for Euro-Mediterranean Women (FFEM), with a secretariat at the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed), presents its objectives, its new website, as well as its plans for the mobilization and capacity building of civil society entities that work for gender equality in Mediterranean countries.
The presentation is delivered by the president of the entity, Fouzia Assouli, who also chairs the Fédération de la Ligue Démocratique des Femmes. Assouli also presents the first publication of the FFEM, “Femmes en Méditerranée, Premier rapport de suivi de la Fondation des Femmes de l’ Euro-Méditerranée”, as well as the activities and the website of the foundation.
The conference has the participation of more than 250 leading regional associations, entities and bodies from across the Euro-Mediterranean region that work to promote the participation of women in the political, social and economic spheres.
