To commemorate the 700th anniversary of the death of Ramon Llull, the IEMed is carrying out a series of activities to highlight the importance of Llull’s work and life trajectory from the Middle Ages to the present day. Through the organization of a series of activities that include much of the studies carried out by the IEMed and the creation of new works, the figure of this true forerunner of the dialogue of civilizations is vindicated.

The traveling exhibition takes a tour of the life and work of the Mallorcan thinker, highlighting the facet of intercultural dialogue with the Muslim world at a time when the Mediterranean was a space of conflict but also of cultural exchange.

The opening ceremony is attended by Senén Florensa, Executive President of the IEMed, Josep M. Riba, Director of the Episcopal Museum of Vic, and the Councilor for Culture of Vic City Council, Susanna Roura. There is a guided tour for attendees by Anna Fernández, from the Ramon Llull Documentation Center at the UB.
