Building stronger, more cohesive and resilient communities

16 December 2024 | Presentation | Barcelona

The Spanish Network of the Anna Lindh Foundation (REFAL) – coordinated by the IEMed – is launching a new awareness-raising campaign that aimed at building stronger, more cohesive and resilient communities in the face of current challenges, focusing our action on unity, inclusion and empowerment of people to confront polarisation and hate speech.

“We are the change: Strong and active communities, here and now” is an inspiring call to action highlighting collective commitment. The word “We are” reinforces inclusion, is gender-neutral and appeals to the unity of all the people and communities that are part of ReFAL. The subtitle, “Strong and active communities, here and now”, emphasizes the urgency to act and build resilient networks, inviting a diverse audience to participate and share this message both in activities and on social media.

The campaign seeks to mobilize ReFAL members under the mantra “Actions, not words”, encouraging concrete actions that:

Build strong and resilient communities.
They promote youth leadership and democratic participation.
They combat hate speech and strengthen social cohesion.
They respond to new vulnerabilities with inclusive solutions.

The campaign was presented at the IEMed headquarters on 16th December 2024.
