Mediterranean Central Banks Conference in Spain

The Annual Conference of Mediterranean Central Banks is organised in 2026 by Banco de España, the Organisation for Economic Cooperation and Development (OECD), the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed) and the Union for the Mediterranean (UfM).

This is the tenth edition of a joint initiative that aims to foster a comprehensive dialogue on the economic and financial situation of the Mediterranean region from the perspective of the Governors of Central Banks of the Mediterranean region.

On this occasion, the sessions of the meeting include cross-border payments in a changing geopolitical landscape, the future evolution of the current systems of payment and remittances, and the implications for global reserve currencies and central banks of the evolving international monetary system.
