Cálamos y viñetas: Autoras Mediterráneas en Movimiento (Pen and Vignettes: Mediterranean Women Artists in Motion) is an exhibition that brings together female comic artists from various Arab and Mediterranean countries—from Lebanon, Tunisia, Syria, Egypt, Algeria, and Morocco to Spain—to showcase the vitality, diversity, and transformative potential of comics as a cultural and social tool.

Curated by Pedro Rojo, the exhibition is organised by the Government Delegation of Catalonia in North Africa in collaboration with the IEMed, the Cervantes Institute, the Al Fanar Foundation, and Casa Árabe. It offers a journey through works that engage in dialogue with one another and reveal a creative, interconnected, and pluralistic Mediterranean.

The opening day is on January 28th and artists Nadia Hafid and Zineb Benjelloum will be discussing their work.
