Citizens Who Enrich Diversity
20 November 2018. From 19:00 | Workshop | Catalan | BarcelonaThroughout Catalonia, cultural diversity is a structural element of society. However, managing coexistence between people from different backgrounds and cultures is one of the biggest challenges facing societies today, not only in Catalonia but around the world as well. Dealing with identity retreat and exclusion means making it clear that cultural diversity and multiple identities do not necessarily have to be exclusive, but on the contrary, enriching.
This is the main topic of this debate organized in the framework of the ‘Ciutat Oberta’ Biennial of Thought in Barcelona with the assistance of representatives of different institutions, think tanks and civil society actors, among others.
How to achieve it? How to manage the coexistence of people from different backgrounds and cultures? How to become more cosmopolitan and not fall into identity retreat?
To answer these questions, we count on the presence of various actors of Catalan civil society from different sectors such as medical, political, business or research, from different regions of the Mediterranean.
