MigrAccions Congress

The Ateneu Barcelonès and the IEMed are promoting MigrAccions, a congress that aims to address the challenges linked to migration, culture and language through an open, cross-cutting and action-oriented approach.
Under the slogan “Migration, Language and Culture in Catalonia of 8 Million People”, the congress brings together perspectives from inclusive experiences and the work carried out by both civil society organizations and migrant communities to address a key issue in today’s public debate.
The objective is to generate practical tools and proposals that help strengthen social cohesion through culture and language, drawing on successful examples. MigrAccions, which will take place on 19, 20 and 21 November, will combine spaces for reflection with a practical, action-oriented perspective, while also highlighting the role of civil society in building a diverse and shared society.
This is not a strictly academic congress. Instead, it focuses on practical applications and the capacity to generate a real impact on social cohesion. As an open congress, it is aimed particularly at organized civil society and stakeholders with the ability to influence the social and cultural spheres, with special attention to groups that have a genuine need for tools and spaces to promote social cohesion in Catalonia.
The Congress is structured around three levels: inspiring dialogues, round tables, and shared experiences.
