On 9 March 2026, the Catalan Council of the European Movement (CCEM) will host a tribute event to Anna Lindh, one of the great pro-European voices with a strong Euro-Mediterranean vocation.

On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Catalan Council of the European Movement is launching a new annual initiative to recognize women who have played a significant role in the construction of Europe. This year, we commemorate the commitment, vision, and legacy of Anna Lindh.

The event is co-organised by the IEMed and the Consulate General of Sweden in Barcelona, and will feature several keynote speeches by Ann Linde, former Minister for Foreign Affairs of Sweden and President of the Anna Lindh Memorial Fund, and Anna Terrón, political scientist, former Member of the European Parliament and former Spanish Secretary of State for Immigration, and the Honorary Consul General of Sweden in Barcelona, Sofia Geli Stenhammar.
