Violent extremism, focus of the Euromed Survey 2017

The IEMed launches today a new edition of its Euro-Mediterranean survey, targeting a group of more than 5,000 experts, including academia, think tanks, representatives of governments, European institutions and international organizations, as well as civil society (NGOs, business sector, media).

Through the 18 questions that make up the questionnaire of the 2017 edition, the aim of the Survey is to capture the perception those experts have of the threat posed by violent extremism in the Euro-Mediterranean region: its origin, the possible causes, its impact and the policies to counter it.

Participation in the survey, carried out by the IEMed on a yearly basis since 2010, is only possible by formal invitation. Emmanuel Cohen-Hadria, Head of the Euro-Mediterranean Policies department and editor of the survey report, presents in this video the 2017 edition of the Euromed Survey.
