EuroMeSCo again among the top 10 think tank networks in the world

EuroMeSCo is the ninth best think tank network in the world for the second year in a row, according to the 2016 Global Go To Think Tank Index Report, the global ranking compiled annually by the University of Pennsylvania’s Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program.
EuroMeSCo, which currently has 106 think tanks and research centers specializing in politics and security based in 32 countries that are members of the Union for the Mediterranean, is a network coordinated since the end of 2010 by the IEMed. Since then, the network has experienced a renewed impetus through annual meetings, workshops, seminars and conferences focused on key issues of the changes experienced in the Mediterranean region, as well as through the production of publications and the revitalization of the network in through the web, newsletter and social media.
In addition, since last year, the network has strengthened its capacity for research, dialogue and dissemination on how best to respond to the challenges in the region as a result of a grant awarded by the European Commission, “Euro-Mediterranean Political Research and Dialogue for Inclusive Policy-Making Processes”.
The IEMed in the classification
The European Institute of the Mediterranean is also featured in the 2016 Global Go To Think Tank Index Report. Specifically in the section on the best use of social networks, the best Western European think tanks, and think tanks that have developed the best collaboration with other research centers.
