Call for Papers – FEMISE 2023 Conference

The Call for Papers for the FEMISE Annual Conference 2023 is now open!

It targets researchers who are working on socioeconomic issues in the Euro-Mediterranean area.

Selected applicants will be invited to come to the conference in Barcelona on 27-28-29 September 2023 to present their work and will be remunerated upon delivery of the expected outputs.

Papers submitted for consideration need to be aligned with the FEMISE 2023 Conference theme “Shifting Paradigms: Opportunities for a Deeper EU-Mediterranean Integration in a Changing World”.
In this context, the four following topics are proposed.

  • A better integrated Euro-Mediterranean region
  • Neighbours of neighbours: potentials for an EU-MED-African relations
  • Economics of the Euro-Mediterranean green transition
  • How to enhance a youth-driven Euro-Mediterranean region

To submit proposals, 2 documents should be presented:

  1. A detailed concept note for the research paper
  2. The CVs of the author(s)

Deadline: 2nd of May 2023

The FEMISE Annual Conference 2023 is co-organised by the Economic Research Forum and the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed).

What’s FEMISE?

FEMISE, Forum Euroméditerranéen des Instituts de Sciences Économiques (the Euro-Mediterranean Forum of Institutes of Economic Sciences), is a Euromed network established in Marseille, France in June 2005 as an NGO (under the French Law of 1901), following 8 years of activities. The network gathers more than 100 members of economic research institutes from the North and South of the Mediterranean, representing the 37 partners of the Barcelona Process and the European Neighbourhood Policy (ENP).
