Ateneu Barcelonès and IEMed join forces to organise the MigrAccions congress

Ateneu Barcelonès and the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed) are joining forces to promote MigrAccions, a congress that will address the challenges surrounding migration, culture and language from an open, cross-cutting and action-oriented perspective.

Under the slogan “Migration, Language and Culture in Catalonia of 8 Million”, the congress will bring together perspectives on inclusive experiences and the work carried out by both civil society organisations and migrant communities to address a key issue in today’s public debate. The aim is to generate useful tools and proposals to strengthen social cohesion through culture and language, drawing on successful examples.

MigrAccions, which will take place on 19, 20 and 21 November, will combine spaces for reflection with a practical and action-oriented approach, while also highlighting the role of civil society in building a diverse and shared society.

The congress was officially presented today at a press conference held at Ateneu Barcelonès with the participation of Senén Florensa, President of IEMed, and Isona Passola, President of Ateneu Barcelonès. Both reaffirmed the commitment of their respective institutions to ensuring that MigrAccions is not only a space for rigorous and inclusive debate, but also provides practical tools and recommendations.
