Global Eco Forum 2012, Euro-Mediterranean Forum on Sustainability

Global Eco Forum is an essential event for opinion leaders and actors of change towards sustainability in the Euro-Mediterranean region. Once again, following the success of previous editions, eco-union is preparing the Global Eco Forum 2012, with a special focus on the green economy, governance, sustainability and the future after the Earth Rio +20 summit.

How to increase the energy efficiency and competitiveness of Mediterranean cities in the social and environmental field? This is the focus of the I Mediterranean Congress on Energy Efficiency and Smart Green Cities held in Tarragona as a platform for information, debate and business opportunities. The conference addresses issues such as smart cities, sustainable construction and renovation, water management efficiency, as well as the energies of the future and smart infrastructure. The Congress culminates with the proclamation of the “Declaration of Tarragona”, which is a guide to good practice for Smart Green Cities in the Mediterranean. Javier Albarracín, director of the Socio-Economic Development Area of the IEMed, participates in the Congress as a speaker in the debate “Living in the Mediterranean”.
