Mediterranean Recital

The IEMed is joining the 2025 edition of the Barcelona Poetry organising a recital of two voices from two Mediterranean countries: Malta and Turkey.
The poetic voice of Elizabeth Grech —with verses in Maltese, the only Semitic language in the European Union— will be intertwined with the Turkish language of the poet Adnan Özer. It will be a great opportunity to meet and listen to two voices consolidated in their own poetic traditions and who come to this edition of Barcelona Poetry to remind us of the poetic traditions of countries that, like ours, share not only the Mediterranean Sea, but much more.
