The IEMed and the Euro-Mediterranean Women’s Foundation contribute to the ninth edition of the Mediterranean Women Entrepreneurs Forum, organized by the Association of Businesswomen Organizations in the Mediterranean Area (AFAEMME), in the framework of the Mediterranean Week of Economic Leaders. The ninth edition brings together women entrepreneurs from different sectors, policy-makers and civil society organizations to analyse the role of women entrepreneurs in their workplace and to share successful experiences of entrepreneurship in the Mediterranean region.

The IEMed and the Foundation organise a round table to present their initiatives on female entrepreneurship, within the framework of the “CSO WINS” project and the Axis 1 of the “Women for the future in the Mediterranean” project, “Strengthening the capacity of the actors working for equality”.

Using innovative tools, the Forum addresses important topics for an evolving society, discussing Mediterranean Intermediary Organizations lead by women entrepreneurs and Mediterranean programs reinforcing the role of women entrepreneurs. It also seeks to give responses to a series of issues, such as: How are small businesses run by women improving in Mediterranean countries?

The Forum concludes with a networking session, offering plenty of business connections, which is followed by an Awards Ceremony that highlights outstanding achievements by businesswomen in the Mediterranean.
