For 25 years, I have been editor-in-chief of this journal with the desire that the subjects presented would provide understanding between peoples. Therefore, each issue has had the contributions of writers from both shores of the Mediterranean to reflect on the most diverse aspects linked to this region. I believe that greater mutual understanding can serve to bring about better dialogue.

This is the final issue of Quaderns de la Mediterrània, which has spent a quarter of a century devoted to this task. Although we have dealt with current events at a given time, we have been more interested in the structure than in the situation; in other words, reflecting on the why of the topics covered by specialists, writers, historians, philosophers, sociologists, anthropologists and artists; in this way, most of the texts published on paper and/or on the website do not lose their validity, since the analyses are usually in depth.
