Today begins the fieldwork of a new edition of the Euro-Mediterranean survey that the IEMed addresses each year to more than 6,000 experts in academia and think-tanks, political and institutional actors – representatives of national governments, European institutions and international organizations, as well as civil society – NGOs, companies, media.

This is the tenth edition of a survey that annually takes stock of the progress and shortcomings of Euro-Mediterranean relations and which this year, under the title “Civil society and social movements in the Euro-Mediterranean region”, focuses on civil society.

The survey is structured in three blocks:

1 – Importance, focus and objectives of civil society and social movements.

2 – Context in which civil society organizations and social movements operate, as well as the role of national and foreign actors in this regard.

3 – Connections between civil societies on both shores of the Mediterranean and the potential of civil society to promote Euro-Mediterranean cooperation and integration as well as to respond to growing divisions and conflicts in the region.

Open to participation

The Survey is aimed at experts and actors from the Euro-Mediterranean region, who receive a personalized invitation. The IEMed encourages the participation of all those people with expertise in the matter, either by trajectory or position.
