Euro-Mediterranean Political Research and Dialogue for Inclusive Policymaking Processes and Dissemination through Network Participation
Duration: 2015-2019
Budget: €1,254,376
Political reform in the Southern Mediterranean region requires an active dialogue among CSOs and decision and policymakers in order to generate inclusive policymaking processes. Think tanks, political research organisations and their networks – as part of active CSOs of the Southern Mediterranean region- are of particular relevance. Their reinforced capacities to produce policy research and their interaction with policymakers and other stakeholders within existing networks and their dissemination to relevant stakeholders enables the reinforcement of exchanges and political research on key issues of the EMP.
Against this background, the project, which builds on the experience gathered by the EuroMeSCo network, aims to strengthen the capacities of Euro-Mediterranean think tanks and research institutes by producing joint policy studies, research papers, enhancing dialogue among key stakeholders and disseminating the outputs to relevant audiences through local presentations and diverse online tools in the benefit of more inclusive policymaking processes.
Objectives
The general objective of the project is to reinforce dialogue, political research and studies in priority themes of the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership and to ensure their dissemination to civil society and decision and policymakers. The project aims to achieve that through increasing the political research capacities and the influence of think tanks and research institutes in the framework of the EuroMeSCo network and promoting dialogue and understanding on key political trends and challenges of the Euro-Mediterranean Partnership and their dissemination to relevant stakeholders, policymakers and civil society.
