On the sidelines of the annual EuroMeSCo conference and for the second year in a row, a forum is being organized for young Euro-Mediterranean researchers.

This edition of the IEMed Youth Forum has the participation of about 40 young researchers from 10 countries (Egypt, Spain, Tunisia, Morocco, Algeria, Italy, Poland, France, Turkey and the United Kingdom) and aims to be a point of meeting to exchange experiences on participation in EU-funded exchange programs or research projects, as well as to identify those obstacles that they encounter when accessing them in their respective countries. The forum also aims to publicize research and mobility programs that have the EU seal and are aimed at young people in the Euro-Mediterranean region.

Two parallel sessions discuss ways to improve EU mobility and research programs for students and researchers in the Euro-Mediterranean region and how young researchers would address certain shortcomings in research on policy and security issues in the Euro-Mediterranean region (for example, in migration and violent extremism).

The attendants of the II IEMed Youth Forum, co-organized by the EuroMeSCo network, the IEMed and the Spanish Agency for International Cooperation and Development of the Spanish Ministry of Foreign Affairs, also participate on 12 and 13 July in the annual conference of the EuroMeSCo network, which brings together more than 100 think tank representatives in Rabat this year under the title “Changing Euro-Mediterranean Lenses”.
