The Foundation for Euro-Mediterranean Women (FFEM), with a secretariat at the European Institute of the Mediterranean (IEMed), presents its objectives, its new website, as well as its plans.
Entitled “Women in the Mediterranean”, the multilingual report gathers interdisciplinary texts by gender equality experts, from the 42 countries in the Euro-Mediterranean region.

The initiative is part of the project "Strengthening the capacities of actors working for gender equality", led by the Euro-Mediterranean Women's Foundation.
The conference addresses the difficulties and contradictions of the EU in its policies to promote gender equality in relation to the recent political evolution processes in the countries Southern Mediterranean partners.
To assess how these struggles are experienced by Catalan women of Muslim tradition, three leaders of associations, with a long history of support for these groups, take the floor at an event open to dialogue in the Auditorium of the IEMed.
Representatives of the IEMed and the FFEM meet in Marrakech with local pole coordinators working for equality between women and men in medium-sized cities in seven southern Mediterranean countries.
